NFL Legend Ricky Williams and WNBA Star Brittney Griner Join Forces at the Women Grow Leadership Summit to Champion Cannabis Advocacy, Wellness, and Policy Reform.
On February 17-18, 2025, Women Grow Leadership Summit will welcome an array of influential leaders, including NFL retired running back Ricky Williams and WNBA champion and three-time Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner, at the Gaylord Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.
As part of the event, Ricky Williams will host the Project Champion Fundraiser on Monday, February 17, at 5:00 PM. The fundraiser will discuss the need to break the stigma surrounding cannabis and the need for safe, therapeutic options for everyone. This impactful fundraiser will highlight the need for alternative treatment options to support patients’ and consumers’ long-term health and wellness.
“Project Champion is about creating cannabis champions out of our lawmakers to advance sensible cannabis policy,” said Williams. “This fundraiser is an opportunity to spark meaningful conversations and advocate for solutions that can truly make a difference.”

Women Grow Leadership Summit
The Women Grow Leadership Summit will unite industry leaders to educate, connect, and empower women to lead the future of cannabis legalization through political reform, entrepreneurship, investing and funding, and career development. This dynamic global movement, threatened by a changing governing landscape, will harness women’s resilience and leverage this power to support cannabis legalization and women’s fundamental rights to healthcare, utilizing cannabis and hemp as medicine.
The summit’s mantras are: “Embrace leadership lessons from today’s cannabis leaders; learn the benefits and uses of cannabis and hemp; start your cannabis and hemp business now; and broaden career opportunities by exploring roles in the industry.”
The Women Grow Leadership Summit is a premier event that connects thought leaders, industry pioneers, and advocates to advance innovation and inclusion in the cannabis industry. With Williams spearheading the Project Champion Fundraiser, attendees will gain valuable insights into how they can work with the athletes to advance cannabis policies on the grassroots level to bring real change and transform their access to the plant.
